Product Overview
The 408 acquisition station dedicated grounding lug is a key component in seismic exploration systems that ensures the safe grounding of equipment. It is mainly used for:
Establishing a low-impedance connection (≤0.1Ω) between the acquisition station housing and the grounding wire
Providing a lightning current discharge path (20kA/8/20μs)
Suppressing electromagnetic interference (EMI)
Core Features
Multi-tooth engagement design: 12 radial saw teeth, penetrating the oxidation layer
Integrated disc spring: maintains constant contact pressure (>50N)
Visual identification: red marking line indicates tightening status
Installation Process
Surface Treatment
Clean the contact surfaces using 3M™ Scotch-Brite™
Apply Chemtronics CW7100 conductive grease
Tightening Operation
Tighten in two steps:
Pre-tighten to 3N·m
Final torque 6N·m (±5%)
Acceptance Test
Measure grounding resistance using Fluke 1625
Inspect temperature rise using an infrared thermal imager (ΔT<5K@10A)
