The 20DX swamp geophone is a device commonly used in seismic exploration. Below is a detailed introduction:
Features
Suitable for swamp environments: Features a waterproof swamp housing, typically made of corrosion-resistant and water-resistant materials such as special engineering plastics or metal alloys. It can operate for extended periods in humid, muddy swamp areas, preventing water from entering and causing damage.
High Reliability: Strict production quality control processes ensure stable performance in harsh environments, reducing the probability of malfunctions, extending service life, and adapting to operating temperatures ranging from -40℃ to +70℃.
Various Optional Frequencies: Offers a variety of natural frequency options, commonly including 8Hz, 10Hz, 14Hz, 28Hz, 40Hz, 60Hz, 100Hz, etc., allowing for selection based on different exploration needs.
High Sensitivity: Effectively converts minute vibrations caused by seismic waves into electrical signals. It also has a good response to weak seismic signals. For example, the sensitivity of a 10Hz 20DX swamp geophone can reach 28v/m/s, with a tolerance of ±7.5%.
Strong Anti-interference Ability: Employs technologies such as photoelectric isolation to reduce the impact of external electromagnetic interference on signals, ensuring the accuracy of collected data.
Working Principle
The 20DX swamp geophone is a moving-coil geophone. Its working principle is based on electromagnetic induction. When the geophone is subjected to the vibration of seismic waves, the internal coil moves in the magnetic field, cutting the magnetic lines of force, thereby generating an induced electromotive force, converting the mechanical energy of the seismic wave into electrical energy, and outputting an electrical signal corresponding to the vibration of the seismic wave.
Technical Specifications
Taking the common 10Hz 20DX swamp geophone as an example:
DC Resistance: 395Ω (parallel 1K resistor), tolerance ±5%.
Natural Frequency: 10Hz, tolerance ±5%.
Damping Coefficient: 0.3, tolerance ±10%.
Distortion Coefficient: ≤0.2.
Application Areas
Oil and Gas Exploration: Effectively collects seismic information about underground geological structures during oil and gas exploration in swampy areas, helping to determine the location and scale of oil and gas reservoirs.
Geological Survey: Used to investigate the geological structures and stratigraphic distribution of swamp areas, understanding the underground geological conditions, and providing data support for geological research.
Engineering Geological Survey: In the preliminary engineering geological survey for large-scale construction projects in swampy areas, such as bridges, roads, and pipeline laying, it can detect underground geological defects and stratigraphic stability, providing a basis for engineering design and construction.
