  • Product Description
  • Insulated Wire Insulated wire is a conductor with an insulating layer, mainly used for power transmission, signal conduction, or electrical equipment connection. Its core feature is that one or more insulating materials (such as plastic, rubber, polyethylene, etc.) are wrapped around the conductor (such as copper, aluminum) to isolate the current, prevent leakage, short circuits, or external interference, while providing mechanical protection and a certain degree of environmental adaptability.

    Basic Structure

    Conductor

Material: Commonly used copper (good conductivity, moderate cost) or aluminum (lightweight, low cost, suitable for high-current scenarios). Some high-end scenarios use copper alloys or silver-plated conductors (such as high-frequency signal transmission).

Structure: Divided into single-strand conductors (hard wire, suitable for fixed wiring) and multi-strand stranded conductors (soft wire, good flexibility, suitable for mobile or bending scenarios).

    Insulation Layer

Material: Plastics: Polyethylene (PE), Polyvinyl chloride (PVC, low cost, good flame retardancy), Polypropylene (PP), etc., suitable for conventional environments.

Rubber: Natural rubber, silicone rubber (high temperature resistance, aging resistance, suitable for high temperature or outdoor scenarios), ethylene propylene rubber (EPR, strong weather resistance).

Special materials: Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE, high temperature resistance, low loss, used in high-frequency signals or aerospace fields), cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE, high mechanical strength, suitable for high-voltage cables).

Function: Isolate the conductor, prevent leakage, and provide a certain degree of mechanical protection.

    Sheath (Optional)

Some insulated wires add an outer sheath to the insulation layer, the material is mostly wear-resistant plastic (such as PVC, PE) or rubber, used to enhance mechanical strength, anti-corrosion or moisture-proof, commonly used in cables or outdoor wires.

Application scenarios: Aerospace, automotive electronics, medical equipment, outdoor engineering, etc.
