  • Product Description
  • Low-temperature jacketed cables are special cables designed for low-temperature environments, mainly used in scenarios requiring stable transmission performance in cold climates or low-temperature conditions.

    Definition and Core Characteristics

    Definition

Low-temperature jacketed cables refer to cables with an outer layer of low-temperature resistant material, usually with a conductive core (such as copper), mainly used in power transmission and signal transmission scenarios, ensuring that the cables do not easily become brittle or break in low-temperature environments, maintaining normal function.

    Core Characteristics

    Low-Temperature Resistance

It can maintain flexibility and mechanical strength at temperatures from -40℃ to -60℃ or even lower. Ordinary cables (such as PVC insulation) tend to harden and crack at low temperatures, while low-temperature jacketed cables avoid this problem through special materials.

Typical low-temperature resistance index: operating temperature range -50℃~+80℃ (may be wider for different models).

    Frost Resistance and Crack Resistance

The outer jacket material has high elasticity and low-temperature embrittlement resistance, and can withstand freeze-thaw cycles and mechanical stress even after long-term exposure to cold weather.

    Insulation and Protection

The inner insulation material (such as PE, PP, PTFE, etc.) and the outer jacket material (such as silicone rubber, fluoroplastics, polyurethane, etc.) must meet low-temperature performance requirements and also have moisture-proof, corrosion-resistant, and wear-resistant properties.

    Stable Electrical Conductivity

The core wire usually uses high-purity copper or tin-plated copper to ensure that the conductivity remains unchanged at low temperatures, and the signal or power transmission is not affected.
